Tell us a little bit about yourself and talk us through your music style and your career journey so far?
I’m an RnB artist from Leicester and I’ve been creating music since as long as I can remember. I started writing properly when I was 11 years old and by 13, I’d signed a record deal with Asylum/Atlantic. It was all quite crazy – sometimes when I think about it, it still is now! My only dream in life was to release music and get to tell all of my silly stories to people on stage every night. I’m 25 now and I’ve been living that dream professionally for about 6 years now. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!!
Can you give us a little insight into your day-to-day life in the music scene? Any tips for beginners?
Day-to-day is very different. I spend a lot of time writing music at the minute! It’s kind of gym, make music, eat, sleep, repeat. I love this time. It’s the best and always feels the most focused. My only tip would just be to not be afraid!! Go for your dreams and don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your career to date?
To always trust myself. There have been too many times when I haven’t and it hasn’t worked in my favour ever. I think it’s so important to listen to myself way more than I do right now!
Your proudest achievement in 2023 and dream for 2024?
My proudest achievement in 2023 was definitely selling out Hammersmith Apollo in London. It was one of the first venues I supported an artist in when I was 13 and I never imagined myself playing that venue ever in my life so it was a real full circle moment.
My dream in 2024 is honestly just to be confident in releasing new music again. I really feel myself going into a new part of my life musically and I’ve been nervous to share that...
Describe your personal style?
I’m all about comfort. I can be dressed up or down, I love both – but being comfortable is a must! I have always worn what I felt suited me in that moment. I tend not to live within the boundaries of trends or give myself any ‘dos and donts’. I just like to style myself in the way I feel. I have a million jackets and coats in my wardrobe. That’s always my staple in any outfit!
How are you styling your PUMA Suede XL this season?
Honestly, they can be styled any which way! But because they’re quite chunky, I love wearing them with a super baggy jean – preferably a cargo trouser and a simple vest or baby tee with a statement jacket. My style is pretty simple and relaxed day to day and the Puma Suede XL’s go perfectly with that.
What are you having for dinner hun?
I’ve been cooking so much recently! Tonight I’m making a sticky chicken rice bowl with charred broccoli and a cucumber side salad. It’s kind of my latest home cooked obsession!
